UNDER THE PINK (1994)

Tori Amos is a goddess. The impression her powerful music has left on the music world is amazing. After a failed EP in the 80s, entitled "Why Kant Tori Read?", Amos did not surrender to failure. She released a new album in the early 90s, one that would define her career and inspire people everywhere. That album, Under The Pink, continues to be a fan favorite to this day. Unparalelled on the piano and hard to surpass in vocal ability, Tori is one of, if not the most, talented woman in rock today. The first song of the album "Pretty Good Year" starts off slow and peaceful and just when you think you have it all figured out, Tori speeds up the tempo and hardends her voice until chills are darting up and down your spine. Her songs range in style as well as topic. "Past the Mission" and "Baker Baker" demonstrate Tori's classical, softer, calmer side. Tracks like "The Waitress" bring out her harder, bitter side. Both sides are beautiful and produce beautiful, insightful music. It's no wonder that Tori has such a cult following. One listen and you're hooked. - All-Reviews.com
